Resident Evil 3 Demo Announced

Capcom announces that there will be a Resident Evil 3 Remake Demo as well as a Resident Evil Resistance Open Beta coming very soon.

After the very successful remake of the iconic Resident Evil 2, it was just a matter of time that the overwhelming request for another iconic episode in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, was going to be fulfilled.

The Resident Evil 3 Remake, which is set for release on April 3rd, will be having its own demo much like the 1 Shot Demo which came out for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. Resident Evil 3 follows Jill Valentine along with Carlos Oliveria and the Umbrella Biohazard Countermeasure Service (U.B.C.S.) to evacuate civilians from a crumbling Raccoon City. While Jill is fighting to save innocent civilians, she must also save herself from the relentless bioweapon Nemesis, whose sole objective is her demise.

Much like the Resident Evil 2 Remake demo where players had 1 Shot to play through and survive the demo, The Resident Evil 3 Demo will feature a scavenger hunt. Players will hunt to locate twenty Mr. Charlie withing Raccoon City. Easy? Well not so fast as Nemesis will be hunting you the entire time! An on-screen counter will help players keep track of their acquired statues and a final count will be displayed upon the demo’s completion.

The Resident Evil 3 Remake game will also feature the new 4v1 mode Resident Evil Resistance and players will also get a sneak peek at the new mode. An Open Beta starting March 27th will place players in the role of Daniel Fabron, one of the game’s four Masterminds, to run twisted experiments using various bioweapons and traps on a group of everyday civilians. In turn, players can band together as one of four of the six Survivors, each possessing a unique ability to help their team escape the experiment before time runs out.

The Raccoon City Demo will reveal a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants upon completion and will be available starting March 19 at 12am ET on Xbox One and 1 pm ET on PlayStation 4 and Steam. The Resident Evil Resistance open beta starts March 27 at 3 am ET for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and 1 pm ET for Steam. The open beta will end when the game launches on April 3.
