Well, we have played the demo for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, which you can read our review of that right here, and let’s just say, we probably won’t be getting into this series. Also, from some of the comments about our review, we didn’t give MH3U a chance and did an unfair job seeing that we were just now entering the fight. Oh well, the great thing about this is, one, it’s a review on a demo, so who knows, things could change. And two, with luck, there will be updates and things could change.
And here we are.
Capcom just released some details about new content and features for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the Wii U. Here are those updates from the lips of Capcom:
- There will be a software update that will add online cross region functionality. This will allow for North American and European gamers to play together in 4 player battles.
- MH3U will now be Off-TV Play compatible. You’ll be able to play entirely on the Wii U Game Pad without the TV.
- Additional DLC quests to be available which the first available at launch. These DLC will be free.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be releasing for the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Wii U on March 19th and will be available through retailers and digitally via the Nintendo eShop.

I’m sure this is in response to the dismal reaction of their demo thus far. Probably realizing they needed to sweeten the deal. This still doesn’t change my opinion of the game at the moment – I will be picking it up for a day or two from redbox… whenever that happens.
I wish that I would be able to play the game alongside with you when you obtain the game. Unfortunately… I have the 3ds and I am somewhat disappointed that the 3ds version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate does not provide and online co-op play as the Wii U does
. As far as commenting and sharing my view on other games, I would be more than willing
