BioWare will be releasing an extended cut for the ending of Mass Effect 3 Tuesday June 26th. The DLC will be free. Below is an interview with BioWare. Check it out.
This news has two groups of people, those who were okay with the ending of Mass Effect 3 and so this DLC really isn’t a big deal; and then there is the other group, which honestly caused all this fiasco, and who I really don’t believe will satisfy them at all.
The whole controversy started after the final installment of the Mass Effect trilogy. Apparently the ending of Mass Effect 3 wasn’t good enough for a group of people, a small group I must add. This cause letters and petitions to be sent demanding an ending that will suit their fancy.
So here’s my 2 cents, and I can guess you can follow my thinking. I personally think this is all unnecessary. When did we get to the point when all of a sudden a gaming company has to add or redo THEIR product because people didn’t like it! You know what, I didn’t like the ending of Titanic. I think I will start a petition to change the ending and I expect them to change it to suit my taste.
None the less, on June 26th the free DLC drops on the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 in North America and yes I will be downloading it.
So, question, if this ending isn’t “good enough” for people, will here be yet another ending? I guess only time will tell.
